Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Pay: $25-$27/hour
Position Summary:
The Payroll Specialist’s primary responsibility is to oversee and facilitate payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately and in accordance with government regulations
Essential Functions:
- Implements, maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including hires and terminations, and pay rate changes.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records of payroll transactions.
- Reconciles payroll reports for accuracy.
- Identified, investigates and resolves discrepancies in timesheets and payroll records.
- Maintains employee records related to payroll data.
- Provides relevant payroll reports to accounting department for review.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Accounting, Human Resources or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably with Paycom.
- Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
- Must have good interpersonal and communications skills.
- Strong oral and written skills with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Must possess the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner and exhibit good judgment.
