I am an advice only certified financial planner, CFP. My work is guiding people who want to achieve their financial goals. My focus is retirement planning.  This can be at any time before or during retirement. However, people who are 5 - 10 years away from retirement are usually the ones who have the greatest need for guidance. I assist with investments (finding the low cost and most suitable ones) and setting up appropriate asset allocation. Together, we  establish the emergency account and a budget, we work to improve cash flow, determine how to best use social security. and get steady income from investments, 

My second area of focus is assisting parents in saving for the education of their children even as the parents are investing for their own retirement.
