In 2026, the United States of America will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of our country.
WPLD, along with the Warrenville Historical Society, will explore ways the Warrenville community can participate in the yearlong commemoration.
Museum Director Sara Phalen, who sits on the Illinois State America 250 Commission, will kick off the discussion by presenting on the themes Illinois will focus on and what state-wide activities will be taking place in 2026.
